RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

  GENERAL ISSUES

The Mid-Day Meal (MDM) program faces issues such as untimely
release of funds. Additionally, the cooks are paid only ?1,000 to prepare
food for 40 children, which is inadequate.
Teacher Sameer Fida Hussain has emphasized that NEP 2020 is much
needed and its implementation should be prioritized. However, the
success of the policy depends on accurate and reliable data reporting.
The data submitted to UDISE must be correct and dependable. the data
analysis is inaccurate due to errors in reporting from the ground level, it
can hinder effective implementation and policy planning.
Scholarship schemes often require students to submit category
certificates as part of the application process. However, the issuance
of these certificates by the concerned revenue authorities takes a
considerable amount of time. As a result, many students end up missing
their opportunity to apply for scholarships.
To address this issue, the process for issuing category certificates should
be made more efficient and speedy. This will ensure that deserving
students can avail themselves of scholarships without unnecessary
delays.

  GUJJAR COMMUNITY ISSUES

The Gujjar community in our area spends six months of the year in the
forests, and during this time, their children attend seasonal schools.
Unfortunately, the teachers placed in these seasonal schools often
cannot speak Gujjari, which creates a significant communication
barrier. To address this issue, it is essential to appoint teachers who
are proficient in Gujjari in these schools. This will ensure effective
teaching and better educational outcomes for the children of the Gujjar
community.
