RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Education has evolved to transform classrooms into dynamic spaces
where theory and practice converge. Shahid Ahmad Najar, a Lecturer in
Zoology, observes that classrooms increasingly resemble laboratories.
Experiments, once restricted to dedicated lab sessions, are now
integrated into daily teaching. For instance, while teaching osmosis,
students first observe the process in a lab and then discuss their findings
in class. Lessons on leaves include visits to botanical gardens, where
students explore and categorize different types, such as imparipinnate,
paripinnate, simple, and compound leaves. This seamless integration
of theory and practice ensures a deeper and more meaningful learning
experience.
Experiential learning has also extended into subjects like Political
Science, particularly after the implementation of NEP 2020. Students
are encouraged to engage with real-world issues through case studies
conducted in their communities. By identifying individuals who exhibit
unusual behaviour and offering counselling, students apply their
theoretical knowledge while developing empathy and problem-solving
skills. This approach not only enriches the educational experience but
also instils a sense of social responsibility.
Innovative teaching methods have become integral to experiential
learning. For example, while teaching coffee farming, students are
given a chance to taste coffee before diving into the lesson. Such
hands-on activities spark curiosity and make the learning process more
engaging. Similarly, topics like dairy farming and tourism hospitality
are taught through practical exposure, enabling students to grasp
concepts more effectively while fostering self-reliance.
Urdu education has also embraced experiential learning techniques
under NEP 2020. For instance, lessons about Mughal gardens are
brought to life by taking students to an actual garden. This immersive
experience allows them to understand Mughal architecture firsthand,
strengthening their connection to the subject and enriching their
learning journey.
Education, however, must not only be technologically advanced
but also morally grounded. It must adapt to the rapid developments
in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other technological
